FROM whom are you most likely to take advice: KISS’s resident demon Gene Simmons or Lamb Of God’s crusading Randy Blythe.

The rock icons have recently expressed sharply divergent opinions on whether entertainers including musicians should share their views publicly on current events – or to use the coverall in vogue in 2026, “politics”.

Door-stopped by TMZ, 76-year-old Simmons said: “Yeah because everybody in the world should listen to what actors and comedians say, because they’re so qualified.

“Basically, shut the fuck up. Do your art and shut up. Nobody’s interested in their opinions. That includes me, who I vote for, who I like.

“Who the f— do you think you are People in America work hard for their living, and they don’t want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces.

“It’s time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole and just do your art. Nobody cares what you think. I don’t.

“Go to Kylie Jenner and ask her what she thinks of the war so far.”

By Blythe, who once returned to the Czech Republic to faces charges arising from a concert there, had the opposite view.

He told syndicated radio host Full Metal Jackie: “I think coming from an underground sort of music, I’m not here to sing love songs. I’m not here to make sure everybody’s having a good time at the party. Let’s speak some words of substance, let’s address some distressing concerns. And there are a lot of them right now.

“Don’t be a coward, speak up.”
