HELLS BELLS! AC/DC has confirmed the news diehard fans have been fanging for – the Power Up tour is coming home to Australia in late 2025.
The superstar rockers will play stadium shows in Melbourne (November 12, Melbourne Cricket Ground), Sydney (November 21, Accor Stadium), Adelaide (November 30, Supercars Adelaide Grand Final), Perth (December 4, Optus Stadium) and Brisbane (December 12, Suncorp Stadium) a decade on from when they last rattled our shores.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 26 (1pm AEST) for the Australian dates of the tour, just as the music legends are embarking on their second round of shows in Europe.
As ever, the ageless Angus Young will be hopping his way across the stage as lead guitarist with vocalist Brian Johnson, joined by rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.
The tour comes on the back of the chart-topping 2020 album Power Up, which secured Ackadacka a number one record in five consecutive decades.
Melbourne punk rockers Amyl and The Sniffers will support AC/DC at each Australian show.
The spread-out early dates could leave the door open for Melbourne City Council to facilitate a revival of the iconic flatbed truck performance of It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock’n’Roll).
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the magic moment of Australian music, which had the band carted along Swanston St playing their biggest hit of the day.
