I THREW a pizza tray of questions to Kane from Melbourne, Australia crossover, thrash, hardcore punk legends Pizza Death.
Hot Metal: What bands have you guys supported? Any highlights?
Kane: “One band that we’ve supported that I’d like to give a shout out to is Stalker from New Zealand. They are the greatest speed metal band of all time!
We’ve had so many highlights over the last few years but one that comes to mind is this show we played in Berlin and this guy who owns one of the local pizzerias came to the show, opened up the pit and started juggling pizza dough. What a legend!”
HM:If Pizza Death were a alcoholic drink what would be in it?
Kane: “Whiskey, goat’s blood and pepperoni grease!”
HM: I used to work in a pizza shop and came up with this ripper, would you give it a crack? Supreme (no pineapple, evil little bastards)

Anchovies
Banana.
Kane: “I’m sorry but that sounds absolutely terrible! I wouldn’t touch that thing with a ten foot clown pole!”
HM: Put your dream band together. Anyone from any era dead or alive, who would be in it?
Kane: “I’d say I’m actually really lucky and I’m already playing in my dream band! But I do like the idea of resurrecting the dead so on vocals I’d have Riley Gale, Cliff Burton on bass, DH Peligro on drums and Eddie Van Halen on guitar. I’ve always thought the band Van Halen were so awful but Eddie is the OG shred lord and I’ve always wanted to know what it would be like if he played in a band that didn’t suck.”
HM: One piece of merchandise you would love to have out?
Kane: “I’d like to have our own line of portable pizza ovens kinda like how George Foreman had that grill but this would actually make sense.”
HM: What has Pizza Death got lined up for the future?
Kane: “We will be releasing our third future multi platinum selling album some time this year I don’t have any details I can give away just yet. But I can tell you that it will be the greatest pizza-themed album of all time! We also got plenty of touring in Europe and Australia!”
