OUR readers know Rock Is Not Dead but a venue in Queensland has announced an event – of that name – for the doubters.
The Koala Tavern in Capalaba will host the Rock Is Not Dead festival on February 1, showcasing a host of up-and-comers from Down Under. Headlining is Sydney’s Avalanche, officially designated as the Next Big Thing.
Also on the bill are alternative rockers Tailor Made Rejects, sleazesters Snake Bite Whiskey, pub brawlers Black Whiskey, promising Stone Rising plus Goatzilla, Slyther and cover band Whiskey On The Rox.
Promoters stress the small festival will run “over one stage with no scheduling conflicts”.
