THE Sydney date for April’s Pandemonium Fest – featuring Placebo, Blondie, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple and more – has been forced to move following backlash and criticism from veterans’ groups.

While NRL matches are totally OK on ANZAC Day, apparently rock concerts are not, with NSW Premier Chris Minns reacting to concerns from NSW RSL President Mick Bainbridge by saying the festival going ahead is “completely inconsistent with ANZAC Day”. Bainbridge addressed his concerns in an interview with 2GB’s Ben Fordham, and was backed up by Minns who has since vowed not to allow the event at any Sydney venue on April 25.

Promoters are now in negotiation to move the event to another date.
