IN a blow to those who were hoping to see the return of Rage Against the Machine, the band has announced it will no longer be performing live, effective immediately.
Drummer Brad Wilk has taken to Instagram to declare “I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows. I don’t want to string people or myself along further. So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again. I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
After getting back together in 2022, Zack de la Rocha injured his leg during a US tour in July that year, virtually destroying his Achilles tendon, and since then the band has been inactive. RATM announced reunion shows in 2020 but they were postponed in the wake of COVID. All those shows hacve now been canned for good.
