Hard Life Touring has announced the planned visit by British rockers The Treatment and Americans Small Town Titans in November is cancelled – and they’re not sugar-coating the reason – “low and struggling pre-sales on tickets”.
“We could give you multiple reasons and excuses for this cancellation, but the truth simply is that due to a struggling financial economy, and a flood of higher profile international acts asking big money for tickets….,” the firm posted on social media channels.
“We, Hard Life Touring Australia, would love nothing more than to put everything we can in to getting these two very awesome bands here to perform live, but the reality simply is that at this time it simply is not viable.
“We hope to work with these bands to get them here in the future but now simply is not the right time. All tickets will be fully refunded from the point of sale, and we hope to keep fighting the good fight for Rock and Roll in Australia.”
They later posted a cryptic image with the slogan ‘RIP … Rock In Peace’.
