SWEDEN’S funk’o’metal carpet riders the Electric Boys have moved on following the departure of drummer Jolle Atlagic, posting their first publicity photo as a three-piece.
Atlagic last month played his final shows with the band, which rose to prominence in 1990 with the US release of their debut album. With a live record in the can, the band has unveiled their new streamlined formation of singer/guitarist Conny Bloom, bassist Andy Christell and guitarist Martin “Slim” Thomander.
Presumably someone will eventually take up the drum stool but there has been no announcement yet.
In telling fans about the departure of their skinsman, the Electric Boys said: “Our final shows this summer are coming up and they’re going to be very special.
“After many years together, our drummer and dear friend Jolle Atlagic will play his final shows with Electric Boys at ”Skånska Mullret” in Fagerhult on August 21 and ”Hårdrock på Torget” in Trollhättan on August 28.
“We feel nothing but gratitude for all the great times, music, and memories we’ve shared with Jolle over the years.
“Come rock out with us as we gear up for a huge 2027 celebrating 40 years of Electric Boys and give Jolle the proper send-off he deserves and raise a “skål” (cheers) to him.”
