AS SKID Row announced a corporate partner to help them find a new singer, Stryper frontman Michael Sweet suggested a way to save them the time and trouble.

We reported recently the New Jersey rockers were about to “step up’ their search for Erik Gronwall’s replacement and that’s exactly what they’ve done, partnering with musical instrument firm Sweetwater to whom candidates can submit their audition tapes.

But Sweet told his Facebook followers: “It would be great to see this band finish out their final years with the original singer, Sebastian Bach.

“You do what you have to do and no one knows the reasons why but I can say this –  I recently hung out with Sebastian and bowled with him out in LA. He was an absolute gentleman, engaging and respectful. We even went to the Rainbow Bar and Grill and hung out there as well after we bowled.
“We all know that Sebastian is the voice of Skid Row. He’s a powerful personality and a one-of-a-kind singer.
“It would be great to see them iron out their differences and give the fans what they want. I would certainly be there cheering them on.
“Whatever happens, I wish all the guys much success and happiness as they navigate through this They are a great band and respect them dearly.”
Sweet and Bach had a feud for a few years based on the Stryper man offering a comment of his solo material which the Canadian-born vocalist did not appreciate. They buried the hatchet on a KISS Kruise.
Meanwhile, if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next frontman of the Skids, HERE is the Sweetwater link.
