OUT of the flaming wreckage of Park Waves, The Amity Affliction are taking metal to the provinces with a 21-date Aussie run hitting regional areas.

Park Waves was to be an all-Aussie travelling festival headline by Parkway Drive but it collapsed under logistical and financial pressures. The Gympie-formed Amity were on the top line of the bill.

Now they’ve made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear with the announcement of dates that start on the Gold Coast on February 12 and extend to Adelaide on March 21.

It’s the first chance Aussie fans will get to see the band with new bass player and clean vocalist Jonny Reeves. Four of Amity’s eight albums have topped the ARIA charts.

They’re a bit draw in the US and will return there after the tour.
