IRON Maiden aren’t exactly known for their subtlety.
The Irons wrapped up their 2023 touring commitments at Power Trip in the California desert at the weekend and – in an ingenious social media strategy they’ve been employing for a few years – got prominent members of their crew to tease plans for 2024.
They produced similar content before an aborted-due-to-COVID 202o Australian trek and this time drummer Nicko McBrain, roadie Colin Price and mascot Eddie flash back to that video in a new clip posted on the Irons’ social channels.
It’s fair to say that with Eddie wearing a corkscrew hat and a t-shirt that says ‘G’day Australia’, they aren’t talking about a visit to Finland. Boomerangs and “Watzing Matilda” also get airtime.
McBrain recently revealed he had suffered a stroke and that learning to play again had been a long and painstaking process.
Expect dates to be announced soon.
