IRON Maiden and the Black Crowes join Australia’s INXS on the nomination form for this year’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall Of Fame inductions.
Metal standard bearers Maiden have been eligible for nomination since 2004 but have only made the shortlist twice, in 2021 and 2023. Members of the band have previously expressed a complete lack of interest in the honour.
The Black Crowes were nominated for the first time last year. It’s INXS’s first time after a concerted effort from a group of fans and industry figures to campaign on their behalf.
Some 1200 musician and industry professionals vote on who will be inducted.
“This diverse list of talented nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of rock and roll and its continued impact on youth culture,” Hall chairman John Sykes, said in a statement.
