ACCORDING to Stryper frontman Michael Sweet, giant Italian label Frontiers has found a replacement for departed creative lead Alessandro del Vecchio.
The songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist announced two months ago he was leaving the label; he writes for many of the ‘project’ groups that combine members of American eighties acts such as Dokken, Great White, LA Guns and Stryper.
“I don’t know what happened, I don’t really want to know what happened,” Sweet, 60, told Hot Metal. “It’s not really my business.
“But yeah, they parted ways and there is a guy now who’s kinda filling in for him now, taking over Alessandro’s position.
“His name is Aldo. He’s a wonderful guy as well and a very talented guy as well.”
This is likely a reference to Aldo Lonobile, who is with a Frontiers band called Secret Sphere and says on his Instagram account: “Don’t care to be called producer but I do records. Don’t care to be called guitarist or musician but I know how to write riffs or songs.”
Sweet continues: “Life will go on for everyone. Everyone will be OK. Everyone will continue to do what we do and what we love.”
