SAMPLER and keyboardist Craig Jones is no longer a member of Slipknot.

His departure was announced via social media today with the somewhat ambiguous message: “Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish Jones all the best for the future.” Note that he is referred to as ‘Jones’ in the statement, not Craig, as you’d otherwise expect when he’s been in the band since 1996.

There is no word if his role will be filled ahead of Slipknot’s European tour, kicking off today in Austria, which is going ahead without Shawn Crahan, who is standing down to care for his sick wife.
