JIMMY D’ANDA, the original drummer for eighties Sunset Strip outfit the Bulletboys, has returned to the band which is now three-quarters of its classic lineup.
Guitarist Mick Sweda has declined to be part of the latest reunion with singer Marq Torien and bassist Lonnie Vencent. Stepping in on the axe is Frankie Lindia, who has played with David Lee Roth and Ratt.
D’Anda posted: “I thought long and hard about my future in rock n roll.
“Everyone knows it’s a monumental task for bands to reunite, especially bands that have been fractured for years…
“Having said that, I felt that there was unfinished business with my old band BBOYS and after losing Ozzy (Osbourne). That shook me to my core …
“So Lonnie, Marq and myself sat down at SALSA AND BEER and had a heartfelt moment of honesty and cleared some years of resentment (which we had never done before).
“I then sat down with Mick, the original guitarist, and asked if he’d come back. He had no desire to do so, and understandably so.
“I reached to several guitarist but none had the fire of guitarist Frankie Lindia so please welcome him to the fold!”
