A VINCE Neil solo show at the Oklahoma State Fair has been halted due to an “active shooter” alert from police.
As gun violence continues to engulf America, the 62-year-old Motley Crue singer described the panic that resulted from the incident on the weekend.
“People started running,” Neil wrote on Twitter.
“We were told to get in the dressing room. There were shooters shooting people.
“Thank you fans for your understanding.”
Police announced the next day the shooting had been “an isolated incident” which occurred when two groups of people became embroiled in an argument.
One person fired a shot into the air. One person was reportedly injured. Two juveniles were arrested; one person was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
The suspect is yet to be named.
Firearms are permitted to be carried in Oklahoma but are banned from the fairgrounds.
Neil’s solo band is Slaughter minus singer Mark Slaughter.
Thankfully we are all okay! Thanks to everyone who came out. Please stay safe! #OklahomaStateFair pic.twitter.com/DIqCA5Wm4N
