CAT-SUITED British rockers The Darkness are to tour Australasia in October, it has been announced.
In support of their current album Motorheart, Lowestoft’s finest will kick off their trek Down Under on October 12 in Melbourne and wind up in Auckland 10 days later.
In between, they’ll visit Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Wellington.
In typically florid language, vocalist Justin Hawkins said in the tour announcement: “Our last ill fated Antipodean excursion in 2020 was cruelly truncated.
“We’ve spent 2.5 years deflated. Our appetite for rock has largely gone unsated.
“Well, for too long you have waited to witness the atmosphere created in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the United States, by us, rock’s most underrated.
“And I am truly elated to announce that we shall return in October to deliver our solid gold plated ROCK – see you there!”
