NEW Jersey icons Skid Row have replaced South African singer ZP Theart with Swede Erik Gronwall.
The ‘Youth Gone Wild’ men clearly know how to keep a secret – they’ve already recorded at least some an album with the former singer from H.E.A.T, called The Gang’s All Here.
You can hear a snippet of some of the new music below.
After a brief foray with Golden Robot Records, Skid Row are now with Earache Music.
The band said in a statement: “It’s a new era for Skid Row. With a new album, a new single and a world tour, we’ve added a new voice. Welcome powerhouse vocalist Erik Grönwall, formerly from the band H.E.A.T. from Sweden.”
Grönwall was also quoted in the release as saying: “Ladies and gents. I hereby declare the circle of all fucking circles complete. You’re looking at the new singer of @officialskidrow #skidrow #erikgronwall”.
The Swedish star previously sang Skid Row standard “18 and Life” on a talent show audition and released another version last September.
He was with H.E.A.T from 2012 to 2020.
ZP Theart has been with Skid Row since 2016.
