IT’S three weeks now since the surviving members of Soundgarden reformed for a charity concert with Seattle singer Shaina Shepherd, with Duff McKagan joining them on stage for the SMooCH benefit for Seattle Children’s Hospital.
No other gigs have been announced and fans seem divided on whether this iteration – which performed as NudeDragons – is the way forward for the grunge icons.
The four Soundgarden songs they performed were “Hunted Down”, “Outshined”, “Flower” and “Beyond The Wheel”. At one point the singer falls back-first into the crowd and fans fail to catch her, resulting in an ugly encounter with the floor.
“I knew I was too heavy for you motherfuckers,” she can be heard to say. Watch below and tell us if you’d like to go see this line-up.
