REEF bassist Jack Bessant is out of hospital after a accident left him with a significant head injury and is looking to return to the stage this month.

The English surf rock kings had to postpone a series of shows after the mishap, the nature of which has not yet been fully explained.

“Thanks so much for all the love and healing vibes coming my way,” Bessant wrote on Instagram.

“I really appreciated the few days help and rest at Bristol Royal Infirmary.

“Happy to be home with my family and am gradually feeling better each day.

“I’ll hopefully make a full recovery with plenty of rest and positive vibes.

“To fans who have had to change their plans, I’m hoping to be feeling alright for the next run of Reef shows starting on 13th April(in) Portsmouth.

“I am fully appreciative of my life and friends and nature.”

Bessant, along with singer Gary Stringer, founded Reef 30 years ago.
