MOTLEY Crue have attacked a fan on social media, calling him a “fucking clown” for accusing the Sunset Strip rockers of using backing tracks.

The exchange unfolded recently on Facebook where fan Bruce Holland commented under a post “saw the backing tracks tour last yr and paid dearly to see it.

“It’s a hard NO from me this time around.”

The band responded: “THIS IS THE SUMMER TOUR FOOTAGE FOR FUCKS SAKE. THERE WERE NO BACKING TRACKS FOR BAND MEMBERS. FUCKING CLOWN.”

The final two-word sentence was later edited out.

Motley Crue management appears to have slightly altered their story regarding backing tracks in the wake of guitarist Mick Mars’ law suit and allegations in that area.

A fortnight ago it was only backing tracks on loops and vocals – now it’s no backing tracks at all.

Of course, the nuances of those contentions may be lost in all the social media noise.
