IRON Maiden’s Adrian Smith and Primus’ Larry ‘Ler’ LaLonde are among the multitude of people to lose houses in the Los Angeles fires.

“We lost our house” was the heartbreaking Instagram post from Nathalie Smith, the wife of 67-year-old Smith on January 11. She later added: “We are safe. We have each other. We will start again. #malibustrong Thank-you for your support during these trying times.”

It was Primus leader Les Claypool who broke the news about 56-year-old LaLonde. Next to an image of a fireplace and chimney surrounded by charred ruins, Claypool wrote: “All that is left of our good friend Ler Lalonde’s home. When Mother Nature gets up on her hind legs, it can be brutal. My heart hurts for him and his family.”

In the wake of the tragedy, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee has hit out at artists continuing to promote their music like nothing happened.

“Makes me fucking sick to see most people just caring on a posting on lame ass social media!” Lee wrote on Instagram

“Guys right now nobody gives a flying fuck when your record drops or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!”
