FROM playing Shellharbour Workers Club in 1985, Iron Maiden are now a stadium band in Australasia.
And is if to prove they have lasted long enough to be too big for enclosed space, the guardians of heavy metal have had to add dates in two cities where they had been booked into arenas.
A second show at Auckland’s Spark Arena has been added for November 8 while Eddie and Co will also be backing up at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 19.
The Run For Your Lives tour showcases material from the band’s first nine albums.
In a media release, bassist Steve Harris said: “We are very excited to be bringing this Run For Your Lives to Australia later this year. And even more so as we are bringing Megadeth with us.
“Dave [Mustaine] and I have been friends for years, and we are very proud to have them as our special guests on their last-ever world tour. I think our fans will really appreciate this, and it will make it an even more memorable show for everyone. We very much look forward to getting down there to see you all at the end of 2026!”
