DAVID Roach, the singer of LA rockers Junkyard, has revealed a diagnosis of “aggressive” cancer and has appealed to fans for help.

Best known for their 1989 self-titled debut which spawned the singles “Hollywood” and “Simple Man”, Junkyard bounced back in 2017 with the album High Water which was one of Hot Metal’s albums of the year.

But now the band is rallying behind their singer.

“We all know and love David Roach—not just as our incredible singer, but as a true friend, an inspiration, and a fighter,” the band said on social media.

“Right now, he’s facing one of the toughest battles of his life: an aggressive cancer diagnosis.

“To help with the overwhelming medical expenses David is selling his plaque art. Every purchase, share, and donation can make a real difference in getting him the care he needs.

“In the coming months, we’ll be making our classic merch available for purchase, with a portion of every sale going directly to David and Jennifer.
We also have more ways to help in the works and will be sharing those details in the months ahead.

“If you can contribute in any way—whether by buying his art, picking up some merch, or simply spreading the word—it would mean the world.

“Let’s rally behind him like we always have. Much love and gratitude to you all.”

The nature of the cancer has not been made public. Readers can find the information about the plaque art and donatioins HERE
