THERE is intense speculation the estranged Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora will reunite at a dinner in Los Angeles on February 2.
Bon Jovi singer Jon, 61, is being honoured as MusicCares Person of the Year at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Journalist Roger Friedman says guitarist Sambora, 64, will be a guest at the function and has tipped – quoting un-named industry sources – he will “strap on a guitar”.
Jon is almost certain to take the stage and musician guests are being invited to perform with him.
This year is the 30th anniversary of Bon Jovi’s debut album and the band has cryptically predicted a series of significant events in 2024.
Sambora – who left Bon Jovi in 2013 – told People magazine in November when asked about a reunion:it definitely could happen. It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking.”
“It’s time to do it, though. This is our 40th anniversary but I feel younger than ever. I’m having a ball.”
