FORMER Great White vocalist Jack Russell, whose biography has been scheduled for release in the coming months, says an acquaintance is trying to steal his trademarks including that of the band that bears his name.
Russell recently announced the title of The True Tale Of Mista Bone: A Rock + Roll Narrative but had previously kept it under wraps because he feared someone he knows – whom he did not name – would register it first.
“I’ve been having problems with this guy who’s trying to copyright everything I do before I do and steal the copyrights for my works,” Russell, 63, told Hot Metal.
“…songs, albums, this and that.
“And I don’t want to risk this happening to the book.”
Asked about the identity of the person, Russell answered: “Yes, it’s someone I know. We’re already in litigation over the band name.
“He’s trying to claim my band name – my name! He’s trying to say that’s his! The whole thing!
“So, people do the darnedest things. I’ve just got to be careful.
