FORMER Great White singer Jack Russell says he’d like to reconcile with his fellow founder of the group Mark Kendall.
Russell, 63 and Kendall, 66, run alternative versions of the band with a September 2013 legal ruling compelling the vocalist to call his band Jack Russell’s Great White.
“I look back and some of the best times in my life were when me and Mark were hanging out when we were young kids and starting a band,” Russell said on SiriusXM.
“We were just starting out and, like we are now, making out we were doing interviews. ‘Oh Mr Kendall, how did you do in that show?’ ‘Oh, we killed ’em’.
“It was a great time because we always knew we were going to pull it off. I don’t know how to tell you why but we always knew we were gonna.
“And we just kept goin’ and goin’ and goin’ until all of a sudden we were there. We had so many great times.
“I would love to shake his hand before I kick off, you know? ”
Asked on the Faction Talks station if he would like to do a song or a show with his former band, Russell said: “Yeah, of course there’s always that thought, you know?
“I haven’t spoke to him in years. I haven’t seen him in years.
“Last time I saw or spoke to him was at the court thing that settled the name. They settled the logo at a court in LA and he was there.
“We agreed what we were going to be. Michael (Lardie, keyboard and guitar) was on the phone I think … Mark was there, we shook hands and that was it.”
