AUSSIE rock favourites Electric Mary have announce their dissolution.

Singer Rusty Brown has told fans in a Facebook post than an upcoming European trek will be the Melbourne-based outfit’s last and that sometime in 2025 Electric Mary will bid farewell for good with an Aussie send-off show.

“We’ll head to Europe for a farewell tour,” Brown said. “This will be the last time we head to Europe so I’m really looking forward to that and saying goodbye to some people who have been amazing to us.

“Then we’ll come back to Australia in 2025 after Europe and do a final show. Yep, 2025.

“Let’s use the next 15 months and just nail this. We’re going to be doing songs, we’re going to be doing albums, we’re going to be doing videos, we’re going to be doing shows.

“So if you see that Electric Mary is in your town or city playing a show, come along and see it because you won’t see it again.

“You gotta start somewhere and you’ve got to end somewhere.”

Brown gave no reason in the video for the decision to disband the group, which has toured internationally since Electric Mary was formed in 2003. They released four studio albums and a live platter.
