AN autograph expert says the signatures on copies of the new Bon Jovi album Forever are fake.
JBJ has been caught in in a controversy surrounding the CD release of the album, with fans blowing up that they have been ripped off by the items which can be used to boost physical sales and chart positions during the first weeks of release.
Kevin Keagan, an autograph authenticator for Professional Sports Authenticator, says no human autograph is ever perfectly identical to another and these signatures are identical to previous Bon Jovi inscriptions.
According to collectors’ website Cllct , Keagan “confirmed … the autographs were clearly done by autopen, with classic machine-like tremors in the flow and clear starts and stops.
“Keating added the signatures would be deemed ‘not authentic’ by PSA.”
Jon Bon Jovi is yet to comment on the controversy.
