AC/DC are back on the road, opening the US leg of their Power Up world tour in Minneapolis on Thursday night local time.
Despite reports of sluggish ticket sales it was a packed US Bank Stadium that greeted the Aussie legends when they launched into a 21-song set on a stage that looked much like the one employed for the European trek last northern hemisphere summer.
Mainstay Angus Young, 70, and singer Brian Johnson, 77, were full of energy and ably supported by rhythm guitarist Stevie Young and recent additions, bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Matt Laug.
And the 21-song setlist was absolutely identical to the one performed at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 17 last year. Support waa again provided by The Pretty Reckless. The next stop is Dallas on Tuesday.
